About Turracher Höhe

Located on the Styrian/Carinthian border in Austria, the village boasts snow cover from late November to late April. It has a mix of luxury hotels and chalets surrounding a frozen lake with mountains on all sides reaching up to over 2400m.

The ski slopes are a mix of blue, red and a couple of blacks served by a modern lift system, many with heated seats. There are many mountain restaurants and cafes next to the slopes serving delicious Austrian snacks, meals and drinks.

The village has a selection of fine dining restaurants, pizzerias, a supermarket, bakery, shops and food vending machines. You can also book tables at the 4* and 5* hotels.

The ski schools are family friendly, as is usual in Austria, with easy access to beginners slopes and drag lifts. Ski rental is also efficient and knowledgeable to ensure your skis are right for you.

In addition to the skiing the village offers cross country skiing, tobogganing on rails (the Nockyflitzer), skating on the lake, skidoo tours, night skiing, night tobogganing and ski butlers on skidoos who will serve you free Prosecco on the slopes!
